For the past ten days I have been below par.
Well below par.
What I thought was a sore throat turned into what my GP thinks was real flu.
Not that cold that is bad.
That sniffle that was a bit annoying.
This was a full on assault on my body that had me take to my bed for days, unable to do much more than drink and sleep.
Raw, sore throat with a raging cough, aches, pains and general unpleasantness that left me unable to take part in Easter activities or even eat the chocolate one friend told me would help me feel better.
A package arrive last Friday that was well received.
24 bottles of Deeside Mineral Water.
It was sent to me as part of some work I was doing around skin and brightening and tightening your complexion, but the timing was perfect to help me deal with being sick but I am hoping took care of my dehydrated complexion at the same time.
Deeside Mineral Water flows from an ancient spring in the protected Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, 600 feet above sea level. I didn’t know this, but around 1 billion litres of rain fall around the springs of Pannanich Hill near Ballater, every year and the water spends around 50 years being filtered through layers of underground rock and during this time the water’s unique qualities are absorbed. The water is allowed to flow naturally from the springs on the heather clad hillside and because it is free from pollution, it tastes really good, well, pure.
I wonder if this is because Deeside has a very low mineral content, a low pH value and a low redox potential? As well as making the water taste good, this unique combination of factors seems to encourage well-being and allow the body and organ to function at its best. The Deeside Water molecules join together in small clusters so they are more quickly absorbed by cells to help keep hydration levels up so healthy skin and vitality is achieved.
Deeside Mineral Water helps protect living cells from the harmful effects of oxidative stress (an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract or detoxify their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants) and keeps them healthier so they can perform better and over time this helps to restore balance to bodily fluids.
In addition to this, this water can also help reduce wrinkles, improve skin condition like red rosacea and reduce the effects of arthritic inflammation.
It has to be tried just for these claims given the pills and potions many of use take to rid our bodies of such conditions?
I am not the only one impressed with these claims, Lord Byron, Sir Walter Scott and even Queen Victoria, have visited the springs and thousands of people have visited the area to drink the “miracle waters” in their search for well-being and vitality.
Today, you don’t have to head to the highlands for a glass of Deeside, you can buy it from selected supermarkets like Asda, Tesco and Waitrose as well as from independent retailers, health food shops and complementary therapists across the UK.
I like the fact that just as the water is pure, the company sell the water in glass and plastic bottles which have been made lighter to reduce the amount of material used and are recyclable.
I will certainly be switching to Deeside from my previously preferred French water brand, and if you try it, you might do the same.
