I am really playing catch up on TRP this week as the review products have been coming in but I have just been to poorly to do much else that get the boys to school then sleep.
That said, my skin has needed a little TLC and I am loving some new products sent over by the guys at Herbalife SKIN.
Until a month ago I hadn’t heard of this brand, but their products are lush. An arm of the nutrition experts, Herbalife, these products are all about nutrition for your skin and getting it into great condition.
They blend Vitamin B3, with antioxidant Vitamins C and E, Aloe Vera plus a handful of pure botanical ingredients to create a skincare range that is gentle but effective. Herbalife SKIN is sulphate-free* has no added parabens and is dermatologist tested, which is always good to know.
Words are one thing, actions are another so I got to work and tried out the Herbalife SKIN Polishing Citrus Cleanser which is £19.25 for 150 ml, not a bad price at all. I have to say I loved it. It is packed with juicy orange and grapefruit oils that make it smell amazing and really wake up your senses in the morning. Jojoba microbeads have been added to really give your complexion a boost and leave it feeling really clean and ready for the day, or night, ahead. Inside the sleek, classy packing is a cocktail of Vitamin B3, Vitamins C and E, Aloe Vera, citrus oils as well as a hint of apple but there isn’t a hint or sniff of parabans or nasties in sight.
With my skin clean and pretty clear, I have then applied the company’s Daily Glow Moisturiser (£37.55) that is super nourishing and I love it. This is a multi purpose hydrating lotion that comes complete with illuminating properties so you have a radiant glow even without make-up. I have been using it day and night and can already feel the benefits of the Vitamin B3, C and E as they get to work on my poorly skin. I love that an added hydration boost is given by the Aloe Vera, a product I have used a lot in the past but not recently. Sunflower seed oil, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Macadamia nut oil, Olive oil, Sesame seed oil are all in there but they leave you skin feeling soft and silky and not at all greasy. One of the great things about this cream is that is can be used on all skin types and is suitable for men and women, so could be the perfect moisturiser to take on holiday for everyone! As well as being great for anti-ageing, clinical trials have shown that in just seven days of using Daily Glow, skin look more glowing and feels softer and smoother and it has also been shown to double the skin’s moisture for eight hours. Not bad at all.
If I could add one more product into the mix, it would be the Hydrating Eye Cream. Packed with Vitamins B3, C and E as well as Aloe Vera, Macadamia nut oil and Cucumber extract this cream helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, but in a soft and gentle way so the delicate eye area is protected and calm. I really like the sound of this.
Whilst I haven’t tried the other products they are free from parabans and sulphates and thanks to essential oils, I am sure they will be just as good as the cleaner and moisturise I have already to put to the test.
