How have you been?
How was your summer?
Where did you go?
We enjoyed 9 long weeks of lie-ins, breakfast on the beach at our favourite coffee shop, paddle boarding, visitors, rambles on Dartmoor, swims in the sea and so much more. We went to Spain, Lucas and I had a trip to Harry Potter and caught up with his hip consultant at the RNOH.
It’s been a while since I blogged and you know what, I miss it.
There were opportunities to review products, visit museums and go to events but as I wasn’t blogging, I didn’t feel as if I could say yes because I wasn’t ready to go back to writing.
I gave myself the summer off when it came to work, wrote for the clients I have but didn’t take anything else on, didn’t blog, didn’t write my book, didn’t do anything on my new website, just enjoyed my boys and Devon.
I am only too aware that time flies, we moved here over a year ago now, and there won’t be endless summers when the boys want to hang out with my on the beach or on the boat, so I wanted to make sure I grabbed every opportunity to spend time with them and make memories with them.
We did that for sure, and some. There are still so many places to visit, ice creams to try and trips to take, but school started on Thursday with me knowing that we had packed as much as we could into our break.
Year 3 beckons for Lucas and Eddie is now a proud prefect and house captain as he embarks on his final year in prep. They have lovely friends, great teachers and an environment where they are happy and thriving and becoming confident boys and that makes me immensely happy.
September also signals time for me to get back to work. Time to write my next book, start networking locally, launch a new website and secure some new clients. I love September, it feels like a warm, glowing gateway to all things fun like Halloween, fireworks and Christmas.
I think it is also time for me to come back to the Rebel Pebble.
I nearly threw it away but I am glad I didn’t.
Life is good, it’s a happy time and there are smile all round and I feel like writing again.
I doubt I will write everyday and I’m not sure what I will write about when I do, but it’s safe to say you’ll be seeing more of me around here and I hope you’ll drop by and say hello.
